What is Chiropractic
and how can I benefit from it?
The word “Chiropractic” actually comes from the
Greek “cheir” for “hand” and “praktos” meaning
"done by." It stresses the idea that the cause of many
common ailments originate from our body's inability to
adapt to certain physiological changes brought on by
trauma, bad posture, injury or a combination of these.
Stress, tension and of course, accidents as well as
countless other issues can often time result in
displacement or misalignment of vertebrae in the
spinal column.
Instead of focusing on drugs and medications for relief,
chiropractic takes a more natural approach to health.
It’s based on the understanding that good health, above
all else, depends upon a strong and normally functioning
nervous system with particular emphasis placed on care
and maintenance of the spine. By applying proper
manipulation and adjustment to the spine and affected
areas, chiropractic makes it possible for people to
function at their individual, optimum level.
Chiropractic shows us that eliminating or even reducing
spinal nerve irritation through careful manipulation of
the spine can result in your body operating more
efficiently and more comfortably with either limited
or no use of medication whatsoever. |
